The Center is actively seeking further funding from individuals, corporations and foundations to enhance programs and meet the needs of our growing senior population. Since most of our services are free, contributions for services are encouraged and gratefully appreciated.

YOU can help the seniors in our community! Most of our programs are FREE to seniors or there is a small co-pay. While we receive government funding, it is not sufficient to cover all of the associated costs to enable us to offer excellent programs and services to our clients.

Whether your gift is a "tribute" for a special occasion, or in honor or memory of someone special, you get the satisfaction of giving a truly meaningful gift and we take care of sending the card! Your gift will be acknowledged in accordance with your instructions and the gift amount will not be disclosed. Please send the name and mailing address of the recipient with your check.

With your tax-deductible contribution, the Joseph Meyerhoff Senior Center/Southeast Focal Point will continue to provide:

Seniors with memory loss disorders, cognitive loss or physical disabilities will participate in an excellent, loving day program which includes a daily hot lunch program.
Seniors will be able to participate in high-quality activities and health support services at the facility — their home away from home.
Seniors will have a place to have hot meals daily in a welcoming environment. This may be their only hot meal of the day!
Caregivers will receive in-home respite for their loved ones with memory loss disorders.
Caregivers will be able to participate in individual counseling and in support groups.
Seniors will receive door-to-door transportation to the Center.
Seniors will be able to participate in individual counseling and in support groups.
Seniors in need of help with past due electrical bills will receive assistance.
Seniors and their caregivers can receive information and referral to programs, agencies and facilities to meet their needs.
Seniors who are first-time offenders can be guided through Broward County Courts by a trained counselor.
