The Center is a home away from home for seniors, providing education, physical fitness, arts & crafts, entertainment, music therapy, tai-chi, yoga, meditation, current events, language classes, brain fitness games, choral group, bingo, day trips to local attractions and cultural events, overnight trips and cruises. Looking for a mah jongg, dominos or bridge game? We have it here! Some of the classes we offer are Healthy Living, Healthy Eating, and driving safety through AARP. We celebrate holidays with music and other activities. Each month we have a birthday celebration with live music and refreshments. See the calendar and trip schedule.
The Transitional/Intermediate Program is for center participants who may need more structure but not necessarily more supervision as in Adult Care Program. Participants in this program are generally 75 years and up and there are generally no more than 15 clients per session. The funding for this program was secured via a private fund/grant through the efforts of Jewish Community Foundation.
Four air-conditioned buses travel to and from the Center daily, offering pick-up and drop-off to clients in Southeast Broward County. We also offer weekly transportation to supermarkets and shopping malls.
All participants may choose to enjoy a balanced hot, kosher lunch, which is served daily Monday through Friday at the Center. Meals are provided by Broward Meals on Wheels, Inc. A donation of $2 per meal is requested.
